About Rocky

As the son of Immigrants, Rocky Raczkowski knows what it means to work hard and respect others.

Rocky Raczkowski has a deep breadth of experience in Business, Political and Military Service. In 1986, at the age of 17 and while still in High School, Rocky enlisted in the U.S. Army Infantry, while serving in the U.S. Army Reserve. After graduating, he attended and graduated from college and was commissioned in the United States Army through the Officer Candidate School Program. Upon commissioning, he entered the Infantry Officer Basic Course at Ft. Benning, GA. while being activated to serve on orders during Operation Desert Shield.

After returning home to Michigan, Rocky started his 1st Company, providing printing, marketing and advertising. While working for many political clients and producing their respective campaign material, Rocky was encouraged to run for office. In 1996, he ran and was elected the youngest State Representative in the Michigan State Legislature that year. After his first term, in 1998, he was elected by his fellow State Representatives as the youngest Majority Leader of any State’s House of Representatives in the Nation. In 2002, Representative Raczkowski was term limited by a State Constitutional amendment he supported and worked to pass. In 2010, Rocky ran for Congress, and while unsuccessful, it was the third closest race in the nation.

On a professional level, Rocky has served on many corporate boards, most notably as a turn-around expert, he led a national entertainment company from near bankruptcy to profitable success without a single layoff of employees. Currently he serves as the President of Imperium Logistics LLC, a Manufacturing & Defense Logistics Company, and he is also involved in other private equity businesses.

Rocky has also served our Nation with great honor. He returned from serving his 2nd overseas combat tour of duty in the Global War on Terror in November of 2009. During his first tour in 2003, he served our Nation for over 1 year as an US Army – B Team Leader in a Special Operations – Airborne, Civil Affairs unit, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom with action during the Afghanistan Operation in the Horn of Africa. It was during this mission, where he was awarded the prestigious Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious service during Combat operations. Rocky Raczkowski currently holds the rank of a Lt. Colonel.

Former Representative Raczkowski holds a BA in Political Science and Psychology, a Masters in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) that he earned while serving in the Michigan House of Representatives. Rocky is also active in charitable work, were he serves on the Board of Directors of two (2) charities: ALS of Michigan and the Michigan Chapter of the Red Cross.

Rocky has been a guest commentator on many radio and television stations concerning political and national security topics. Furthermore, Rocky maintains a keen interest in foreign languages and speaks three (3) languages. Rocky and his wife, Amalia (formerly Amalia Kaddo of Grosse Pointe, Michigan) have been married since April, 2010, and were blessed with their first child, Sofia Christina, on March 3, 2014.  They currently reside in Troy, Michigan.
