HEALTH CARE
Rocky believes that health care decisions should be made by doctors and patients, not by Washington bureaucrats, and that insurance companies should be held accountable by free and open markets, not by a federal takeover of our system of health care.
Just as important, Rocky understands that a promise was made to seniors that Medicare would be there when our parents and grandparents need it and that promise didn’t involve rationing or death panels.
The U.S. has the best, most advanced, health care system in the world and most families are happy with their insurance plans and the care they receive. Rocky will oppose any federal proposal that forces families to choose a different plan if they like their current plan and doctors.
Rocky believes that allowing consumers to buy health insurance across state lines and letting business groups pool together and buy coverage are two simple steps that can increase choice and competition, reduce costs, and improve the quality of care.
